We are extremely happy to announce the release of TX CHRONO 1.7.0., totally improved and already compatible with TFS 2017 Update 1 RC2.

This new version features considerable enhancements in time tracking and time approval process, as well as virtual tasks management.

New features include:

      1.   Daily status updates

TX CHRONO 1.7.0 time sheet has been re-designed to use a day (instead of a week) as a minimal period for time sheet submission. What does this mean for users? The system provides more options for time sheet management.

       ·      Time sheets can be sent for approval on a day-by-day basis with the rest of the days for the reporting week still available for time tracking. This makes accounting and billing more accurate and timely.

     ·    “Due days” and “due periods” can be determined. TX Chrono admin can specify the day of the month, after which the time sheet (entries previous to this “due day”) is no longer available for editing.

      2.   Comments for time entries

In TX CHRONO 1.7.0 users have an opportunity to leave comments for each time entry if needed. The comments will appear both on the View My Timesheet on the Confirm Timesheets pages. This function is optional and can be switched off through the Admin UI.

3.   Virtual Projects/Tasks individual assignment

From now Project Managers and TX Chrono admins can assign Virtual Projects and Virtual Tasks to specific Users and/or Groups of Users.

Besides other pluses, this function enables a wider use of your time sheet by those team members, who do not directly use TFS for their work but contribute to project delivery.

Easier set up and configuration:

·    Installation process simplified

·   Tooltips for top menu added

·    Tooltips with help information added

·    Support of Unicode for project names, collection names, roles added

·  Web.Config encoding from UTF-8 without signature to UTF-8 with signature enabled

Improved Admin UI experience:

·   Improved Weekly fields synchronization

·   Full compatibility with IE11 added

·  ‘CheckPermissionToExpand’ and ‘CheckMembershipToExpand’ moved to Misc tab to improve UX

· License Details and License Upload pages merged to improve UX

·  Format of event viewer logger updated to improve UX

·  Virtual task visibility management, exclusion rules added
